Today's discussion was about Final Year Project. Our lecturer Mr. Eranjan started the lecture by giving a brief introduction for final year project. Final year project is an individual project which has nine months of time period and it is a combination of three modules. Student has to come up with a topic to the project based on a problem that a company face and student need to come up with the solution for the problem. Since we are BIT students we need to come up with a business related topic. Lecturer further exaplined more about what need to consider when come up with a topic to the project. Students cannot come up with hypothetical problem and it is must to find a real day problem that a company face. After that student has to implement a system to solve the problem. The documentation of this project should include the solution of the problem, analysis, research, literature review and critical evaluation. This Final Year Project will be affected on our final grading. After that he discussed about the steps to the final year project.

Learning Outcomes:-
I found today lecture as a very important and effective lecture because it was about FYP. FYP is very important to final result of my degree. Also this lecture was very useful because it discussed about the areas we need to do focus when we come up with a topic to the final year project what need to include in the document, how can we over come from the problems that we might face etc.
